Master Gardeners
We have Master Gardener Volunteers who work to provide the community with research-based information regarding gardening, horticulture, pests, soil, and much more! If you are interested in becoming a Master Gardener volunteer, contact our office at 585-268-7644 and we will put you on a mailing list to receive information about the next Master Gardener Training session. Typically it is a twelve week training course covering a variety of topics. There is a one time fee that covers the cost of materials, speaker fees, etc.
After successfully completing the training, you can then apply to become a Master Gardener Volunteer. First year volunteers dedicate at least 50 hours of volunteer time to the Master Gardener Program. To remain active, Master Gardeners volunteer a minimum of 10 hours each year.
