Cornell Cooperative Extension of Allegany County (CCE Allegany) has an opening for a full-time, SNAP-Ed Nutritionist. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention (SNAP Ed) Nutritionist will primarily be responsible for delivery of established SNAP public education programming to improve healthy food and lifestyle choices among families and individuals encompassing all age groups throughout Allegany County. This position is located at CCE of Allegany County in Belmont, and the SNAP-Ed Nutritionist will be responsible for programming for audiences of low-income families and individuals.
This is a full-time, grant-funded position, at $18.27 per hour.

The Ag in the
Classroom/Farm to School Educator will work with Public School Districts
in Allegany County to provide education related to agriculture as well
as to develop and support school districts with utilizing the Farm to
School Procurement Structure and Resource Guide. Will also collaborate
with the Harvest New York Farm to Institution Coordinator to manage the
local school produce bidding process, farmer education and other
necessary tasks.
Additionally, the Educator will work with local
farmers to continue the established the Allegany County Farm to School
Procurement Structure, as well as work with teachers, cafeteria staff
and administrators, to deliver an Allegany County Farm to School/NYS
Agriculture in the Classroom Curriculum.
This is a part-time, benefits eligible, non-exempt position, schedule to work 20 hours per week, at $19.00 per hour.
