Register for Master Gardener Volunteer Training 2025

Registration opens from September 2, 2025, to October 10, 2025.

Are you passionate about gardening and eager to make a positive impact in your community? Join our Master Gardener Volunteer training program and unlock the secrets of becoming a certified Master Gardener!

Program Highlights:

  • Comprehensive Training: Learn from experienced horticulturalists and experts in the field.
  • Hands-On Experience: Gain practical gardening skills through workshops and real-world projects.
  • Community Engagement: Give back by sharing your knowledge and helping local gardens flourish.
  • Certification: Become a certified Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Volunteer upon completion.

How to start?

If you're interested in becoming an MGV, follow these 3 steps:

2. Fill out the registration form: REGISTER HERE.

3. Once the registration period ends we will contact you for the next steps!

The MGV training fee is $300, payable after acceptance into the program. Limited scholarships are available. After completing your MGV core training, you will become a Master Gardener Volunteer, after 1 year of service as a MGV you will have the option to get $100 reimbursed.

If you withdraw before training begins, a refund (minus a $75 administrative fee) is available. No refunds after the training begins.Note: if you want to participate in this volunteer program and can't afford this payment, please contact Cristian Acosta at cfa34@cornell.edu for payment options and scholarships (if available).
