One Plant, Many Plants: A Propagation Class

  • Saturday, June 13, 2026, 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Have you ever wanted to turn one plant into many? That hydrangea you love could be three more by next spring (for free!). Those flowers or herbs that you keep buying every year, could be propagated by you and save that money next year.

Join Master Gardener Volunteer Carol Sitarski for an informative class on plant propagation, hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Allegany County.

In this class, you'll learn how to:

  • Take cuttings from houseplants, shrubs, and trees
  • Root them successfully using water and soil methods
  • Pick the right time and technique for softwood, hardwood, and evergreen cuttings
  • Spot patented and trademarked plants before you propagate

And the best part: you won't pay for this class.
