Hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension and the NYS IPM Pesticide Safety Education Program; this training is designed to for those that want to have a better understanding of handling and using pesticides safely and/or those that need to prepare for DEC pesticide applicators exam. Fee is $25 for Private Use Pesticide Applicators or $125 for Commercial Applicators, which includes all required manuals for taking the exam at no additional charge thanks to a generous sponsorship from Finger Lakes-Lake Ontario Watershed Protection Alliance.
If you’re in need of recertification credits, the last 4 sessions will have DEC recertification credits assigned to them. In total, a certified applicator licensed in any private or non-private category could earn 8.5 CORE recertification credits by attending all 4 dates plus 1.25 credits in category 21 & 23.

March 6th - Pesticides and the Environment & Category Exam Review (1.0 in CORE, 1.25 in 21,1.25 in 23)
March 13th - Using Pesticides Safely (2.75 in CORE)
March 27th - Making Sense of Pesticide Labels & Safe Storage and Transport of Pesticides (2.0 in CORE)
April 3 - Calibrating Equipment, Choosing Nozzles, and Spray Math (2.75 in CORE)
