October is BQA Month!
Attention: Beef & Dairy Producers
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Allegany County will be hosting a Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) training on Thursday, October 20, 2022. The program will be held at the Alfred State College Farm 1254 Route 244 in Alfred, NY from 6:00-8:30 PM. BQA is a nationwide certification program to help ensure a safe, wholesome, and quality beef product for consumers. Topics covered include herd health management, nutrition, behavior, and handling.
All attendees will be Level 1 certified or recertified, producers attending the training and providing a VCPR will become Level 2 certified.
Pre-registration is requested by October 18th. Youth aged 14 and over can be certified, 4-H and FFA members are encouraged to attend. There is no charge for the training.
