Internal Parasites in Small Ruminants IPM/FAMACHA© Workshop

  • Thursday, October 6, 2022, 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM

If you are a sheep or goat producer interested in sustainable internal parasite control and management strategies, this workshop is for you. There are many things that affect the parasite load at your farm like the weather, pasturing style, animal source, age of the animals, and more. Join Amy Barkley, Livestock Specialist, Southwest NY Dairy, Livestock & Field Crop Team and Lynn Bliven, Ag & Natural Resources Issue Leader to learn about the different types of parasites that are a challenge for small ruminant operations and to differentiate between types of de-wormers, learning when and how to use them.

The workshop will be held in Machias, NY from 4:00-6:30 pm on Thursday, October 6th. Cost: $22 per farm which includes one FAMACHA© card, workshop and handouts. Participants may pay at the door however pre-registration required by noon on October 5, 2022 so we can ensure enough space and handouts. Contact: Amy Barkley at amb544@cornell.edu or (716) 640-0844
