Cornell Cooperative Extension of Allegany County has an opening for a full-time Agricultural Community Educator. Seeking a highly motivated individual with understanding of general agriculture, dairy science, soils and field crops.

Serve as a member of the Association educational team to coordinate and deliver established curriculum in the area of general agriculture, dairy science, soils and field crops for adult audiences. Provide administrative management and coordination including working with volunteers to support 4-H Youth Development in agriculture.

Appreciate and promote diversity in all interactions with program participants, staff, volunteers, and the public. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in agricultural, agronomy/field crops, animal sciences or environmental sciences or Associate Degree plus 2 yrs transferrable program/functional experience.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic team member with excellent organizational, communicative, interpersonal, and administrative skills. Must be well organized and detail oriented. Ability to multi-task and develop strong working relationships with a variety of people.

Coursework or experience in education and teaching highly preferred. Ability to work a flexible schedule that will include evening, and weekend hours; able to meet travel demands of the job.
