Astilbes thrive in moist, humus-rich soil in dappled sunlight. Colors hold best on flowers grown in part shade.
Water: Keep soil evenly moist. Plants will tolerate sunny sites given ample moisture.
Soil pH: 5.5 to 6.8
Growing tip: Grow in shady borders, along shady paths or on the edge of a pond.
