Kombucha tea is an effervescent, fermented drink made with tea, sugar, yeast and a symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast that contains vitamin B and probiotic organisms. Join Colleen Cavagna as she walks through the steps to make Kombucha at home. You will be introduced to a SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast), which does all the work fermenting the tea and which produces the beneficial enzymes, acids, probiotics and antioxidants. The workshop will conclude with a sampling of several different flavors of this delicious beverage.
