Farm Animal Safety and Management Training

CCE Allegany County is offering aspiring, beginning and transitioning farmers a training focused on understanding how to work with livestock. Farmers need to know what’s normal to be able to recognize abnormal behavior in their stock. With classroom and hands-on workshops covering safe handling and restraint, safe moving & transporting, routine animal care, producers will enhance knowledge and skill to work safely with livestock.

Pre-registration date extended to March 8, 2018.
