Farm Animal Safety and Management Training

Focus of the training will be on understanding how to work with livestock. Farmers need to know what’s normal to be able to recognize abnormal behavior in their stock. With classroom and hands-on workshops covering safe handling and restraint, safe moving & transporting, basic animal care skills producers will enhance knowledge and skill to work safely with livestock.

Fee is $125/person which includes housing and meals; active or retired NYS Military Veterans may apply for stipends toward training fee and travel expenses.
