Springtime Gardening Evening

  • Thursday, April 20, 2017, 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Come to our Springtime Evening Program.

We will be discussing Rain Gardens, Pollinators in the Garden and Frost Effects on our Plants.

Rain Gardens will be presented by Deb Bigelow and Mary Lu Wells - find the perfect spot for a rain garden in your landscape, learn how to design it, what plants can survive in wet/damp spots as well as during times of drought.

Pollinators in the Garden - Tamsen Gildard and Patty Sherman - Changing climate patterns, pesticide contamination and other environmental factors are threatening pollinator populations. This presentation will offer ways in which you can help protect our pollinators. You will be given lists of plants you can use in your landscape and garden.

Frost Effects on our Plants - Mary Lu Wells - Learn about how and when frost can effect your plants and when you will need to protect them.

Pre-registration and payment are required. No refunds, but substitutions will be allowed. Contact Colleen Cavagna at cc746@cornell.edu.
